Who we are

Hi! My name is Jessie and I have been baking for as long as I can remember. When I was little, I used to pull up a step stool and learn new recipes and help my Nan, especially with taste testing! I graduated from Eastern Tech High School’s culinary program and went on to take a few courses at Anne Arundel Community College in their baking and pastry program. I also have worked in the food industry since I was 16; learning so much from those I apprenticed under. I currently work as a cake decorator full time. I love being able to contribute to someone’s special occasion and being able to make people smile with the things I make.

Nan always called me her “little baker” and I promised her one day I would open my own place so that I could share what we baked together with everyone. The name Friskey Biz Cakes comes from my family’s name and is my way to honor both my Nan who was my biggest inspiration and my family who are my biggest supporters!
